The 61st Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf is the biggest trade show in Europe for people who make or buy recreational vehicles. More than 600 vendors show off their products in 16 exhibition rooms, which is three more than last year.
The Stellantis booth is the first of its kind and covers 500 square meters in Hall 16 (D42) at Caravan Salon 2022. It is the first time that Fiat Professional, Citroen, Peugeot, and Opel have been brought together as one "Family for Families."
The new product line, formed after FCA and PSA merged last year, increases flexibility and breadth of choice. Fiat Professional and Citroen are both well-established names in the recreational vehicle market. Peugeot can reenter a booming market at the right time. Opel is making its first move into the MPV market, which has grown quickly in the past few years and attracted a lot of younger buyers.
Stellantis, which operates under four distinct brands, is well-equipped to serve the expanding number of families visiting Caravan Salon in search of market innovations and cutting-edge fashion. In fact, that expansion has quickened in the wake of the outbreak. The growing appeal of family vacations in quieter places where they can be close to nature, as well as greater professional flexibility and the rise of new, smarter ways of working, have all played important roles.
This idea prompted the creation of a multi-brand display that speaks to the principles of independence, exploration, and individuality. The green and brown color scheme, the wooden color of the display stands, and the photographs of interesting locales all call attention to the natural world that needs to be studied and maintained for future generations.
Motorhome manufacturers can choose from an extensive number of Stellantis models, sizes, and drives, all of which are presented in Stellantis's most up-to-date product catalog. Stellantis has released four new vehicles as conversion platforms. Each one has a variety of available powertrain configurations (diesel or all-electric) and a full suite of driver assistance systems (DAS) up to the most recent generation of autonomous driving.
Stellantis can make an offer in response to the growing demand for battery electric vehicles (BEVs). The adoption of BEVs now depends on the construction of the necessary infrastructure and the interest of each motorhome manufacturer. To that end, diesel technology is being refined to ensure that it can keep up with the laws.
Stellantis Brands' display cars will represent a variety of RV features and configurations available to manufacturers and consumers. The white Fiat Ducato Chassis Cab L4 seen here is a representation of the most popular selections for vehicles of the Fiat Professional brand. The car on display has high-tech safety features like automatic emergency braking, help staying in your lane, recognition of traffic signs, and full-LED headlights.
A Citroen Jumper panel van L2H2 BlueHDI 165 in aluminum gray metallic is on exhibit from Citroen. The comfort package includes a leather steering wheel and LED lighting, and it comes standard on the 5.42-meter long, powerful and versatile all-arounder.
The Opel Zafira-e Life, a fully electric 5-seater, is on display. According to the Worldwide Harmonized Light Car Test Procedure (WLTP*), the 75 kWh battery allows the medium-length variant of the vehicle to attain an electric range of up to 330 km. The Opel Zafira-e Life has enough power for any task thanks to its 100 kW (136 hp) output and 260 Nm of peak torque. The e-lounge on wheels has a panoramic roof, electric sliding doors, and flexible leather seating for the most comfort and luxury.
The Peugeot showcase car is also powered entirely by electricity. The five-seat L2-length Peugeot e-Rifter is painted in Metallic Blue and comes standard with the Allure package's three separate second-row seats, heated seats, and climate control. The cable needed to charge the battery in Mode 2 is part of the package.
In its "Dare Forward 2030" business plan, Stellantis identified the RV market as a key area of focus. With this expanded and updated product line, the company is reaffirming its position at the top of the industry.
This strategy seeks to increase sales and brand awareness but also to improve the quality of service provided to existing customers. All four of the family's businesses work closely with RV manufacturers and buyers to provide after-sales and support services that are both ahead of the curve and in line with industry trends.
