Ford has been on a roll lately with its electrified vehicles, from the Ford Mustang Mach-E to the Ford F-150 Lightning. But there's one more model that deserves your attention: the Ford E-Tourneo Courier, a compact, spacious, and practical electric van that's perfect for urban dwellers and small businesses.
The Ford E-Tourneo Courier was unveiled in Copenhagen, Denmark, earlier this year as part of Ford's plan to offer a fully electric or plug-in hybrid version of every passenger vehicle it sells in Europe by mid-2026. The Ford E-Tourneo Courier electric van is based on the common Tourneo Courier, which is essentially a passenger version of the Ford Transit Courier commercial van. But unlike its gas-powered sibling, the E-Tourneo Courier has a zero-emission powertrain that consists of a 136-hp electric motor and a 37.3-kWh battery pack.
According to Ford, the Ford E-Tourneo Courier can travel up to 217 miles (350 km) on a single charge, based on the WLTP cycle. That's more than enough for most daily driving needs, especially in congested cities where traffic and parking are a hassle. The E-Tourneo Courier also supports fast charging, allowing it to replenish 80 percent of its battery in just 45 minutes using a 50-kW DC charger. Alternatively, it can be fully charged overnight using a 7.4-kW AC wallbox.
But the Ford E-Tourneo Courier is not just about efficiency and eco-friendliness. It's also about versatility and comfort. The E-Tourneo Courier can seat up to five people, with plenty of headroom and legroom for everyone. The rear seats can be folded or removed entirely, creating up to 1,656 liters (58.5 cubic feet) of cargo space. That's enough room for a bicycle, a surfboard, or a small sofa. The E-Tourneo Courier also has a sliding side door and wide-opening rear hatch, making loading and unloading your stuff easy.
