Skoda is known for making practical and affordable cars, but the Czech brand also has a creative side. Every year, Skoda gives its students a chance to design and build their own concept car, and the results are often impressive. This year, the students have created the Skoda Roadiaq, an electric camper based on the Skoda Enyaq iV electric SUV.
The Skoda Roadiaq is different from your typical campervan. It has a sleek and futuristic design, with a large panoramic glass roof, LED lighting, and a distinctive grille. The bodywork is painted in a striking shade of green, contrasted by black accents and 20-inch wheels. The interior is spacious and luxurious, with leather seats, a digital dashboard, and a 13-inch touchscreen. The rear seats can be folded down to create a comfortable sleeping area, and the trunk can store a tent, a table, and two chairs.
But the most impressive feature of the Skoda Roadiaq is its electric powertrain. The concept uses the same battery and motor as the Skoda Enyaq iV 80, which means it has a 77-kWh battery pack and a 201-horsepower electric motor driving the rear wheels. Skoda claims the Roadiaq can travel up to 333 miles on a single charge and can be recharged to 80% in 38 minutes using a fast charger. The concept also has a solar panel on the roof, generating up to 1.2 kWh of electricity per day.
